Team USA Wins!!
IRF World Championships • Kingscourt, Ireland

The 14th International Racquetball Federation (IRF) 2008 World Championships concluded as nearly 200 players representing 30 countries competed for coveted gold medals in singles and doubles as well as points for team/country awards.
Team USA reigned supreme in the Individual World Championship titles as Rocky Carson won the men's singles, and Rhonda Rajsich won the women's singles. The men's doubles was won by Jason Thoerner/Mitch Williams. The women's doubles was won by Jackie Paraiso/Aimee Ruiz.
The World Championship Team Competition was also a success by Team USA as the
USA men's team defeated Mexico 2-1 for the title.
In the women's final the USA team defeated Bolivia 3-0 to win the women's team title.

The event was held August 1-10, 2008 at the Kingscourt Racquetball & Handball Club and up-to-date match results by r2sports.com.

Irish Minister Brendan Smith along with other dignitaries officially opened the World Championships on behalf of the Republic of Ireland and finished the event with an awards ceremony for all the final presentations...Read More
