The 2008 National Masters Racquetball Association (NMRA) International Racquetball Championships are underway at the Wisconsin Athletic Club in West Allis, WI. This is a major championship event with nearly 160 players from across the country competing in over 30 divisions in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
All NMRA events boast full round-robin format and ensure players are not eliminated from play while enjoying a highly competitive and friendly experience. All divisions are categorized in five-year increments starting with age 45+.
The doubles team of Mark Domangue and Terry Pett will be returning to defend their Men's 45+ Doubles Championships from 2007. The Women's 50+ singles will also see the return of 2007 Champion Lynette Froehlich as she will attempt to defend her title from last year.
The event also features a special banquet and ceremony on Friday evening for all players and their families in the Grand Ballroom of the Brookfield Suites/Hotel.
