Mannino Seeking Third US OPEN Title

Third seed Jason Mannino (San Diego, CA), the defending champion and two-time winner ('99, '06) of the Choice Hotels US OPEN Racquetball Championships seems to be a perfect fit for the center stage in Memphis.
The bright lights, the cameras, and the cheering fans on the "made-for-tv" portable court seem to bring out the best in Mannino.
He will attempt to become only the second player in the history of the US OPEN to win back-to-back titles in the Men's Professional division while adding a third US OPEN championship to his illustrious career.
Mannino already has his name etched on the silver championship trophy along side three other greats--(Monchik-'96, '98, '00, '02), (Swain-'97, '01), (Waselenchuck-'03, '04, '05) and looks sharp coming into this tournament.
Last year at the 2006 Choice Hotels US OPEN, Mannino defeated Cliff Swain, and Jack Huczek on his way to the finals before knocking off Rocky Carson in three straight games for his second US OPEN Championship.
Mannino will have to play his best against a top field of players from around the world, he has proven time and time again that he can win the big points and the big matches.
